TRIUMP, SOUL-STIRRING & HOPE

DENNIS WILLIAMS' I'VE CRIED THE BLUES REPRISES AT THE WARNER THEATRE
OCTOBER 11, 2025

Washington, D.C. — April 28, 2025 — Dennis Williams' critically acclaimed musical, “I've Cried the Blues”, is set to make its triumphant return to the Warner Theatre on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Presented by Legendary Studio Shows. The Musical Story of a Lifetime promises a powerful, soul-stirring experience blending genres of music, resilience, and unforgettable storytelling.

Set against the backdrop of 1945 Little Rock, Arkansas, “I've Cried the Blues” follows Mattie, a woman fighting to break free from the grip of the segregated South. Through gripping dialogue and an emotional fusion of blues, jazz, and gospel, the musical captures a raw exploration of love, loss, and the unbreakable will to survive against the tides of systemic injustice.

Following a debut that captivated audiences and critics alike—with unforgettable performances by Grammy Award-winning artist Avery*Sunshine and powerhouse vocalist Keke Wyatt—this highly anticipated reprisal introduces bold new star power. Joining the cast are Grammy-Nominated and 6x Stellar Award Winning Gospel Artist Darrel Walls of The Walls Group and Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard Bassett, adding new energy and music selections to an already captivating production.

Described by television executives as "a life-changing experience," “I've Cried the Blues” is more than a musical—it's a profound American story of survival, sacrifice, and unrelenting hope.
